How to send us a tune...

We have no desire to become the Holy Grail of Old Time music, but we'd like a well-rounded collection of Public Domain tunes to present to the average American fiddler for study. We're expecting to find many of the same tunes played under different names according to the region where it's played, but we believe there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of hard-to-find fiddle tunes -- and variations -- out there. Your region of the country will have a different set of commonly heard tunes than we hear in Middle Tennessee. But we sincerely appreciate fiddle tunes here in Pegram and we'd love to hear some tunes played in your area.

Does your jam group play some cool tunes you'd like to share with us? Can you record a version and send us a file? See details below on how to send us a music file.

Traditional tunes only, please!

We'll need to research the tune you send us to our satisfaction that it is indeed a tune from the Public Domain. Then we'll post your submission on a new page we're developing just for the purpose of sharing tunes. After we receive a few, we'll post them online for Old Time fiddlers to hear. And who knows... the tune you submit may be played someday at the Pegram Jam!

Typos and other concerns

Have you found an error in our chart book? Well, it might be a typo and it might be a difference of opinion. If you find an error, we would like to know about it.
